What motivated you to become part of the music industry and establish yourself as an artist?
First of all, the love of music. Something that was very present in me from childhood, that passion I had for music. After that I educated myself further, I learned to play flute, guitar, sing and compose myself. And when I realized I could capitalize on that talent, I started taking singing lessons, always with an economic effort, but when I was 18 I started doing covers in New York, people responded really well and I started my crowd of fans.
And how has your career grown since then?
The time came when a very famous producer known as La Companioni saw my videos and left me a comment telling me that he loved my music, he asked me to talk and it was he who asked me if I ever had thought of professionally recording a video.song and not just covers. I told him I would if I had the chance and he got me the producer and the studio.
And what was the result?
Once in the studio I ran into The Secret Code, the producer of Maluma, who completely changed the track, I also did my thing and in 1 hour we finished the song together the two and everyone fell in love with the song and it soon started playing on the radio, thanks to a presenter who heard it and decided to put it on his programming. And around those same years, I opened for CNCO, which was very fashionable.
What was the impact it had? Searching for you (2019) in Miami?
People got very attached to the song, it played at gas stations and in shopping malls and that led to me being invited to the Grammys and I also got in touch with Manuel Turizo’s producer with whom I recorded a song in Medellín, Colombia. But in 2020 the pandemic forced me to take a break and now I want to resume my entire musical path.
Which genres of music interest you?
At the moment the urban genre is the most representative, partly due to the amount of mixing that can be done musically. But from there, all music inspires me. Tomorrow I can go to the studio and do a cumbia, but for now my preference is urban.
How is the interaction with your followers on social networks?
I like the variety. I can’t tell you I have a Cuban or Ecuadorian audience, I have a Latin American audience. And that helps me a lot, because tomorrow I’m putting out a reggaeton and the Peruvian likes it, while the Ecuadorian loves it and the Dominican dances. So I have a perspective from a lot of places and that helps me grow a lot.
