Ola Gietner was born on July 14, 1985 in Pabianice. The girl did not have a happy childhood. As she admitted, she had never seen her father before his death. Grandma Aniela took care of her until she was 5 years old. She then moved in with her mother and her new partner. The woman abused her daughter. She often beat her and cut her hair as punishment. The production with Aleksandra Gietner in the lead role instantly became a world-class hit. Critics appreciated the character played by the teenager. The girl was recognized in such plebiscites as the Young Artist Award or the Chicago International Film Festival. She was also nominated for the Polish Film Award Eagle 2002 in the “Best Actress” category. As a result, it quickly gained immense popularity. She was even invited to Los Angeles to receive the award for the best young woman. However, Gietner did not decide to travel to the United States. Shortly after her daughter was born, the woman was again behind bars. This time she was facing a sentence for burglary, theft, possession of ammunition, marijuana and criminal threats. She tried to return to acting several times. She had e.g. opportunity to play in “City 44”. The first casting was successful, the second she appeared under the influence of stimulants. In 2015, a fire broke out in the studio apartment where she lived. Shortly after, Poland was informed about the death of her mother. Today, not much is known about the life of Aleksandra Gietner. Only her grandmother spoke about the 37-year-old. – She’s skinny as a log, she ate her fill, took a few pennies from me and left. She had such a chance for a good life. She did not use them – the woman admitted in an interview with “” in 2015.
