The program will be created under the license of “My Wife Rules” produced by Global Agency, which premiered in 2018. In each episode of the show, viewers can watch the culinary struggles of three couples. The dishes are prepared by men, and their partners (sometimes also mothers, sisters or friends) guide them step by step through the process of preparing a specific dish. Married couples, siblings or pairs of friends compete for a cash prize under the supervision of an expert.
“After getting acquainted with the recipe, the ladies will leave the studio, and their places in the three arranged kitchens will be taken by the gentlemen. Communicating through the headset, the partners will have to guide their men in such a way that their dish does not differ in taste and presentation from the dish prepared by a well-known chef. Everyone will have only 60 minutes to complete the task. When the dishes are ready, they will be served to the ladies who will evaluate the prepared dishes. Points from the chef will also be added to the pool of points and they will be able to determine the victory of a particular duo” – we read in the cycle description.

Through the Plejada portal, Mateusz Gessler mentioned that he had been waiting for the implementation of the format in Poland for a long time. – “Steam to the pot. She talks, he cooks” is the program I’ve been waiting for. Everything here amazes and fascinates me. The freshness of this format in Poland combined with the knowledge of its success abroad, e.g. in my wonderful France, it is a guarantee for me that we are doing something really cool! he stressed. He also added that he is optimistic after filming a few episodes:
I can honestly say that it is a combination of everything I like: humour, entertainment, great recipes and, above all, great participants who will provide a large dose of emotions in the program.
Also, Polsat’s programming director, Edward Miszczak, spoke favorably about the new culinary game show. He said that this program will significantly make TV4’s schedule more attractive, and viewers will be able to meet a completely new face of a well-known restaurateur. It’s supposed to be “cheerful, witty and full of humour”.
In Poland, the format will be produced by Constantin Entertainment Polska. Casting for the show is still ongoing, with more than 1,000 applicants so far.
