The creators of “Game of Thrones” are back, this time with a super production made for Netflix. The teaser of the science-fiction series “The Three Body Problem” has appeared on the web. David Benioff and DB Weiss have a chance to redeem themselves after the critically acclaimed finale of the George RR Martin adaptation. Will they make it?

“The Three Body Problem” is the first project of the creators of “” realized five years after the finale of the aforementioned series. David Benioff and DB Weiss have taken up the book adaptation again, this time it’s about the series by Chinese writer Liu Cixin – the trilogy “Three Body Problem”, “Dark Forest” and “Death’s End”.

has not revealed, so far, what the plot of the series based on the writer’s works will focus on. What we do know, however, is that the first volume of the series of the same name tells the story of a secret Chinese project from the time of Mao, which has horrific consequences decades later. In the novel, we have the beginning of the 21st century – after a series of suicides by outstanding physicists, the investigation leads to a mysterious online game “Three bodies”, whose goal is to save the inhabitants of a planet threatened by the gravitational influence of three suns. However, the world of this game is not fiction.

The announcement of the eight-episode series is really intriguing, which was also noticed by the viewers. In the comments under the teaser there were voices that the production could be really successful. “The books are brilliant, I love them. I’m very curious what came of it”, “Give it, quickly”, “Finally” – we read the words of excitement. However, we will have to wait for the premiere. Netflix has not given an exact date, but the series will not be available for streaming until early 2024.

The cast of the work is also impressive. The screen will feature, among others, Benedict Wong, known from the Marvel universe (“Doctor Strange”), John Bradley from “Game of Thrones”, Jovan Adepo, who played Larry Underwood in the series “The Stand”, Liam Cunningham – Ser Davos Seaworth from the adaptation of Martin’s books, Eiza González (“Godzilla vs. Kong”), and Jonathan Pryce known from “The Two Popes” and “The Crown”.
