Tom Holland is taking a break from acting. All because of work on the set of “In the Crowd”

Tom Holland is one of the busiest young actors out there. Best known for playing Peter Parker / Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. Recently, he starred in the latest Apple TV+ series entitled “In the Crowd” and it turned out that working on this project exhausted him so much that he decided to take a “little” break from playing.

Working on the set of “In the Crowd” turned out to be extremely difficult for the young actor. Not only did Holland play one of the main characters in the series, but he also tried his hand as a producer. The 27-year-old is probably satisfied with the effects of his work, but now he feels so tired that he has decided to take a year off from working on the set.

Tom Holland is taking a break. He hopes that working on the series was worth it

In one of the recent interviews for “” he confessed that it was a completely new experience for him and had a great impact on his general well-being. “It was definitely a difficult time. We were exploring some emotions I’d never experienced before, and being a producer and the demands of dealing with the daily challenges of a film set only added to the level of pressure felt. […] This series broke me. […] I’m taking a gap year now and that’s because of how difficult it was to make this show,” Tom Holland said.

However, all Spider-Man fans can rest easy as Holland’s break from acting will not affect future Peter Parker productions. Although work on the script has been stopped due to the ongoing strike, Sony’s producer recently confirmed that the next film in the series will definitely hit theaters.

In the Crowd is an episodic psychological thriller starring Dannu Sullivan, who was arrested in the past for his involvement in a shooting in New York in 1979. He is played by Tom Holland, and he is accompanied by Amanda Seyfried, who is investigator Rya Goodwin, who will lead the investigation related to his case. Holland also mentioned in an interview that he hoped the band’s hard work wasn’t in vain. However, for now, three episodes of the series are available on the Apple TV+ streaming service, which managed to collect mixed reviews. Although the average rating for the series is 7/10 on IMDB, the production was rated 48/100 on Metacritic. It’s even worse on Rotten Tomatoes, where only 31% quality comes out of 41 reviews from critics.
