If you already know that the curtains are washable, proceed to the next steps. Before you start cleaning, shake them to get rid of dust and other particles. If you have light-colored curtains that lose their color, you can soak them in water with baking soda and washing-up liquid for a few hours before washing them in the washing machine. Darker fabrics should be washed only in detergents intended for this color, and colored fabrics should be soaked in a solution of water and vinegar before washing.
