The last series of HBO wants the latest incarnation of the pop girl, very famous but unbearably spoiled and rude. At least that’s how the claims of the idolthe series that along with the workshop A24plus the criteria of Abel Tesfaye (formerly known as The weekend), Reza Fahim and the creator of EuphoriaSam Levinson.
The protagonist Jocelyn (Lily Rose Depp) will be responsible for demonstrating this infamous prototype. After being the subject of “brutal” press coverage, Jocelyn reinvents itself with a darker and sexier image in collaboration with sad (Tesfaye), a self-help guru and leader of a secret cult.

The series’ final trailer, released on May 30, focuses on the passionate relationship that blossoms between Jocelyn and Tedrosand the concerns of those in the young artist’s life that she is being brainwashed by him.

After a nervous breakdown derails Jocelyn’s latest tour, she’s determined to reclaim her rightful status as America’s biggest and sexiest pop star. Her passions are rekindled by Tedros, a nightclub businessman with a sordid past.
Trailers for the series have been released drugs, cash, club scenes, more drugs, a possible orgy, unsafe behavior in a moving convertible and yes, more drugs. Francesca Orsi, HBO’s executive vice president of programming, described the series as a “subversive and revealing take on the cult of the music industry”.
In a pre-premiere interview, Levinson and Tesfaye revealed that the show is inspired by The Weeknd’s own experiences with the dark side of fame. Tesfaye expressed his desire to shed his pop star persona and embrace his true identity through this project, taking him in a new artistic direction.
The dramatized premiered on Sunday, June 4, and a new chapter is released every Sunday. It consists of a total of 6 episodes.
