The Guayaquil woman presents ‘RGB’, a photographic exhibition that compiles her work in the last five years.
Until this Saturday it remains open, in Neighborhood House, the photographic exhibition RGB, from the visual artist Claudia Hidalgo Vilaseca, who also launched his book at the opening of the exhibition.
The dunes of the Ecuadorian artist María Verónica León are exhibited in Switzerland
Hidalgo says that his sample is a compilation of his work for more than five years, “using graffiti, music, tennis and most importantly, color as an aesthetic base.”
The Guayaquil woman presents a proposal in which she explores color through a development language. “It uses distinctive nuances to elicit a response beyond what is familiar: deep reds, vivid greens and crisp blues intervene in his photographs in unexpected shapes and spaces, eliminating any notion of place as fantastic scenarios begin to appear ”, he describes Ana Clara Silva in his curatorship.
In her analysis, the curator explains the process that Hidalgo goes through to obtain the final result, in which, after studying the composition of the photograph obtained and detecting the colors of each plane, she manipulates them to highlight elements “not visible to the naked eye. “Like the grass on a tennis court, for example. The most recurring colors in his work are fuchsia, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and black.

This is how the human figure becomes absent in each of his photographs and color becomes that common thread to express his emotions. “I believe that unconsciously it is a manifestation that I like to be alone”, Mentions the artist, specialized in photography.
“Hidalgo uses the camera to document these elusive moments in his everyday life, and then pushes the limits of how we perceive them (…). Thanks to his construction of form through color, Hidalgo takes his photographs to a new dimension”, Reads the curatorship.

Textures from the world of fashion, movie sets and music are part of his inspiration. In fact, he uses excerpts from the lyrics of his favorite songs to title his pieces. “Music is not only part of my daily life, but an indispensable element in the process of my work”Says Hidalgo.
The sample RGB It will be open until tomorrow Saturday at the Casa del Barrio cultural space (Panama and Juan Montalvo). The opening hours today are from 12:30 to 17:00, and tomorrow from 10:00 to 14:00. (I)
