The first Polish SkyShowtime Original series will debut on the service on June 19. Two episodes will be made available for the first time, and the next nine will be released every Monday. The main character of the production is Franek Czułykowski aka “Czuły”, played by Borys Szyc. He is a 40-year-old womanizer and urban legend whose psychological profile is much deeper than it might seem.

“Czuły” is both an irresponsible partygoer, a serial seducer and, at the same time, everyone’s friend. He is surrounded by the most interesting characters of the city on a daily basis, and in the series we will follow his struggles in the fight against reality. The 40-year-old constantly tries to grasp the meaning of his own existence in the modern world, which is perfectly presented in the first trailer of “Warszawianka”.
We see various scenes from the intense life of the main character, who, as the narrator, tells us that we live for single moments. After a while, he adds that those moments that allow us to forget about the surrounding world are actually just an “illusion”. And in the meantime, we can see “Czuły” as a party animal, lover, father, and a lost man. At the end, we hear two slogans: “We will never be freer than now” and “Don’t be afraid, f*ck of love”.
We can also expect sudden twists and turns in the series. The trailer shows us that in the production we will see such an unobvious character as a macaque monkey, and the main character will miraculously avoid being hit in the head with a glass bottle. Certainly, an important element of the plot of “Warszawianka” will also be the main character’s contact with his daughter Nina (Milena Goździela), who evokes ambivalent feelings in him. The place where the characters will spend time is the “Warszawska” club, which belongs to “Czuły”.
The series was directed by Jacek Borcuch based on a script by Jakub Żulczyk. The author of the photos is Piotr Uznański. In addition to Borys Szyc and Milena Goździela, other recognized names also appeared in the series, such as: Krystyna Janda, Jerzy Skolimowski, Ilona Ostrowska, Piotr Polak, Jadwiga Jankowska-Cieślak, Zofia Wichłacz, Paulina Gałązka, Jan Peszek, Maja Pankiewicz, Marianna Zydek, Jakub Wieczorek, Marta Ścisłowicz, Tomasz Włosok and Marcin Januszkiewicz.
