Atheromas are most often located on the face, neck and trunk. Usually, these changes are not life- or health-threatening, but they can be quite uncomfortable. When treating atheromas at home and preventing their formation, it is worth reaching for one of the plants.

The skin is an organ where developmental or benign nodules are common. Atheromas are the most frequently diagnosed lesions. These are cysts that most often begin to develop within the hair follicle. When in exposed places, e.g. on the face, many people wonder how to remove them.

Causes of atheromas on the skin. Why does the risk of occurrence increase?

The unsightly lump can be soft or hard to the touch, sliding under the fingers. Most often it arises as a result of damage to the sebaceous gland or hair follicle. A cyst, also known as an atheroma, forms at the site where the blockage occurs. Here are the formation of such skin lesions:

  • inadequate hygiene,
  • use of cosmetics inappropriate for the type of skin,
  • hormonal disorders,
  • too long exposure of the skin to sunlight,
  • genetic predispositions.

Home remedies for cough. You will eliminate the cause of the appearance of cysts and prevent their formation

Atheromas are quite common changes. Depending on their size and location, they can be more or less intrusive. Home remedies for getting rid of atheroma are warm compresses. They have a draining, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect. It is about using the properties of tea tree oil, castor oil or aloe vera juice.

  1. A few drops of castor oil, tea tree oil or a little aloe vera gel rub directly on the skin around the cyst.
  2. Cover with a cotton swab and leave overnight.
  3. Repeat the process until the cyst disappears.

You can also use specially prepared ointments with drying and astringent properties, e.g. zinc or horsetail ointment. It is not recommended to puncture, scratch and squeeze atheromas on your ownespecially large sizes. It is therefore worth looking at skin changes and consulting a dermatologist who will determine the best course of action.
