Selected the seven short films that will be part of the Kimuak catalog

The short films ‘The Illustrated Woman’ by Isabel Herguera, ‘Sorbeltza’ by Iban del Campo, ‘Priorities’ by Tamara Lucarini Cortés, ‘The Apprentice’ by Raúl Campos, ‘The King of the Week’ by David Pérez Sañudo, ‘Deadly Draw ‘ by Nitya Lopez Saitua and ‘Ximinoa’ by Itziar Leemans have been selected for this year’s Kimuak catalogue.
The Kimuak program is promoted by the Etxepare Basque Institute and Zineuskadi. This selection of Basque short films will be sent to international film festivals and the most important audiovisual initiatives around the world.
This year’s Selection Committee has been made up of Simon Blondeau, Atalante de Bayonne, Ana Herrera, Txaro Landa, Jaime Manrique and Alberto Valverde. This new Kimuak catalog includes animation and fiction works.
One of the seven films has been made entirely in Basque, another in Basque and French, the rest have been made in Spanish and two of them also use Hindi and Bengali.
