Are you claiming a funeral grant? The changes will mean that some people will no longer apply here
The Agricultural Social Insurance Fund informed that from June 1, 2023 it will no longer pay the funeral allowance in certain cases. As we can read in the communiqué, this applies to the benefit of deceased pensioners or pensioners entitled to old-age or agricultural pensions, paid by them in conjunction with benefits collected from the general insurance system. In such cases, you should apply to the Social Insurance Institution for payment of the benefit, because it will be responsible for it. It is also worth noting that this also applies to family members of the deceased. What about other cases? Nothing changes. If the deceased received only a farmer’s old-age or disability pension, or was subject only to farmer’s insurance, the funeral allowance will still be paid by KRUS.
