‘Elementos’, the new Disney animated film that closed the Cannes Film Festival, arrives in Ecuador on June 22

Although the world public will have to wait a few more days to enjoy articles, the new Disney and Pixar movie, the animated production already had its world premiere as it closed the 76th edition of the Cannes International Film Festival. The voice actors for the English version and filmmakers paraded down the French city’s iconic red carpet to celebrate the new feature film, which hits theaters across Latin America (including Ecuador) on Thursday, June 22.

Located in Ciudad Elementos, the plot begins to show the coexistence between the inhabitants of fire, water, earth and air until we meet Ember, a resourceful and fierce young woman, who begins to challenge her family beliefs and traditions after meeting the funny Wade.

Directed by Peter Sohn (Light year, Ratatouille), the script of articles was developed by John Hoberg & Kat Likkel and Brenda Hsueh with history by Sohn, Hoberg & Likkel and Hsueh. The film’s original soundtrack was composed and conducted by Thomas Newman.

That personal plot was then translated into Sohn’s imagination, in the curious interaction which the union of a character of fire with a character of water would bring, a relationship that was sure to provide awkward moments, jokes, and hilarious missteps.
