The Sevillian comedian Manuel Sánchez Vázquez, ‘Manu Sanchez’has announced that he suffers from a Testicular cancer for which he has been undergoing intensive treatment for three weeks, which, together with the operation to which he has undergone, implies that he has lots of chances to get over it.

Sánchez, 37, has communicated this in the Canal Sur program ‘La Tarde, aquí y ahora’, together with Juan y Medio and Eva Ruiz, and has said that he has chosen this way of saying it “because in all the houses there is no Good things always happen, and I wanted to tell what it is, and that nobody tell what it is not”.

He has specified that three weeks ago he started a chemotherapy treatment which will last another nine, which has forced him, for the moment, to stop his professional activity, including the presentation of the program ‘Land of Talent’ on Canal Sur, which the singer from Málaga Diana Navarro will be in charge of in his absence.

Manu Sánchez has indicated that he is undergoing a “very powerful” treatment, because “removing the fat mess, the rest is very good” and all the tests “are positive”. “I’m looking forward to the general elections, August to arrive, there to be a big mess”, he joked, and gave some details of his illness, a testicular germ cell cancerwhich, in his case, “only has metastases in the lymph nodes”: “My oncologist has told me that I have a good chance of a cure.”

Always in a good humored tone, although he acknowledged that the interview could have been suspended if he was not feeling well, he thanked the work of the oncology team at the Virgen del Rocío hospital: “We are lucky to have a public healthcare which is a benchmark in the world. We don’t know how lucky we are. There are reasons to fall apart, but even with what I have now I can’t stop repeating to myself that how lucky we are.”
