Cherry tomatoes like warmth, so they can be planted until about mid-May. If you decide to sow seeds, it is best to sow them at the turn of March and April. After sowing, water them with a little water and cover them with cling film to keep them warm. The foil should be gently pierced with a toothpick so that the plants have access to air. Cherry tomatoes in a pot. Plant the seedlings into containers in mid-May

Ready seedlings of cherry tomatoes should be planted in appropriate pots around mid-May, after the so-called cold zośka, when the risk of frost is very low. When buying seedlings in a store, it is worth making sure that they do not show any signs of disease or pest attack.

Low varieties that do not grow too tall will work well on the balcony. A standard balcony box with a length of 40 cm will fit up to three bushes, but due to the need to provide the plant with enough space, it is worth choosing two. The plants should set the first fruits at the turn of June and July. Ready seedlings should be supported from time to time with home fertilizer, for example from nettle, yeast or banana peel.
