She never worked and the help from the local MOPS was not enough. When there was no trace of Iwona’s second pregnancy, an employee of the Municipal Social Welfare Center became interested in the case.

Iwona used the help of MOPS and during one of the visits, an employee of the center noticed that the woman no longer had a pregnancy belly. When she asked about the sex of the newborn child, Iwona was embarrassed, which aroused suspicion. A MOPS employee decided to call . Due to her criminal past, Iwona was already well known to the officers, but she could not answer their questions rationally. Some light on the matter was shed by the woman’s mother, who admitted that her daughter had given birth and gave her son up for adoption to a family from abroad.
