Samantha Weinstein was born on March 20, 1995 in Canada. She started her career very early – at the age of only six. In the next seven, Samantha managed to star in films such as “Siblings”, the short “Big Girl”, “Ninth Street Chronicles”, the drama “The Stone Angel” with Elen Burstyn and Dylan Baker and the anthology “Toronto Stories”.
The actress is best known for her role in the remake of the film “Carrie” based on the novel by Stephen King. In the 2013 film, she starred alongside Chloe Grace and Julianne Moore. In 2006, Weinstein won an ACTRA Award for her role in Big Girl. She was the youngest actress in history to receive this award. Weinstein also worked as a dubbing actress. She provided her voice in many animations and fairy tales for children (“Babar and the Adventures of Badou”, “The ZhuZhus”). In the last weeks before her death, she fulfilled herself as a singer and guitarist, playing in the garage rock band Killer Virgins.
