Blackheads most often appear on the nose and chin, because this is where the most sebaceous glands are located. However, with inadequate care, they can occur anywhere on the body, for example on the back, arms or chest. Regular cleansing and moisturizing of the skin is essential if you want to get rid of blackheads. The SAC method, i.e. a combination of salicylic acid and green clay, can be extremely helpful.
Blackheads on the nose and chin. Where do they come from?
Blackheads are caused by sebum remaining in the sebaceous glands. They are not accompanied by inflammation, but oily discharge comes out of them. Over time, black dots can develop into purulent pustules. The most common causes of the appearance of blackheads on the face include: inadequate skin care, hormonal disorders, the use of clogging cosmetics and poor diet. Instead of struggling with squeezing blackheads and visiting a beauty salon to remove them, it is better to prevent their formation completely. For this you need two things that you can buy at any pharmacy. You will not spend more than PLN 30, because the price of 2% salicylic acid is about PLN 15, and for green clay you have to pay about PLN 11.
SAC method. What is it and how does it work?
In the fight against blackheads, the most important thing is cleansing, i.e. removing dirt, dead skin and make-up residues. Then comes the time to use the SAC method, i.e. 2% salicylic acid and green clay. After washing your face thoroughly, apply a serum with 2% salicylic acid and leave it for half an hour. After this time, apply green clay (do not wash off the acid). Sprinkle your face with water every 2 minutes to keep the clay from drying out. After 15 minutes, rinse everything with warm water. The combination of these two cosmetics unclogs and reduces pores and removes excess sebum. In addition, it reduces discoloration, smoothes the skin and accelerates the healing of pimples. The procedure should be performed 2 times a week.
A homemade mask made of ingredients you have at home will also work well with blackheads. Pour two tablespoons of gelatin and two tablespoons of milk into a small pot. Mix and heat in a pot until a homogeneous mass is formed. When the mixture has cooled, apply it on the face where there are blackheads. After 30 minutes, remove the mask quickly. The blackheads will come off with it, because they will stick to the solidified mush.
