If someone happens to “do” in nature, the only concern is usually that someone can see us. Few people expect that they may not come out of the whole situation unscathed.

Long queues for the toilet are a big problem when the need is really strong. Some decide to find another place where they can relieve themselves. Just walk away, do your business and come back. The whole thing should take a maximum of two minutes. What can go wrong? It turns out quite a lot. Especially when you live in Florida.

He followed the need. He lost an arm

23-year-old Jordan Rivera will remember his exit “to the page” for a long time. That evening he was having fun in one of the bars. It was a little after 1am when he felt he needed to use the restroom. The long queue effectively scared him away – he decided to go to the nearby pond. He doesn’t remember much after that.

Around 1:30 a.m. his friend heard a shrill scream. When he reached Jordan, he saw the man in agony trying to swim to shore. After pulling him out of the water, it turned out that he had no arm. It turned out that he was attacked by a three-meter alligator. People who were in the area helped to secure the wound and called an ambulance. Jordan was transported to the hospital by helicopter. When he woke up, he was very surprised.

I was confused. I just woke up, sat on the bed and looked at my hand. I saw what happened and thought: wow! It felt like my hand was still there

– he said quoted on the site .

“It’s not the end of the world”

As he admits, he does not fully remember how it happened that he found himself in the water. It’s possible that he either just fell into it, or the ground beneath his feet slipped. His mother is grateful to the people who helped her son. Luckily, someone had a tourniquet with them to stop the bleeding.

For many people, just encountering an alligator would be traumatic, let alone this type of attack and the loss of a body part. However, Jordan doesn’t seem to think of the situation that way. Keeps positive thinking.

I didn’t lose my life, just an arm. It’s not the end of the world

– he said.
