Sophia Coppolathe American film director who made films like THE VIRGIN SUICIDE (1999), Lost in Translation (2003) And Marie Antoinette (2006)will reveal the most intimate secrets of his work in a book to be published in September this year.
Sophie is the daughter of Francis Ford Coppolathe filmmaker who directed The Godfather (1972)but she has become a solid name in the movie industry, working with actresses like Kirsten Dunst, Emma Watson, Scarlett Johansson, and Nicole Kidman.
His book entitled “Sofia Coppola Archive: 1999-2023”promises to amaze with behind-the-scenes reveals of iconic movies, including never-before-seen photos, scripts with notes by the director himself, collages and personal texts From Sophie.

The idea of compiling all this material in one book came from the filmmaker’s clean-up during the pandemic, when she recovered all the memories of her years in the industry.
“I wanted it to feel more like a scrapbook than a coffee table book. I love seeing artists in their creative spaces, so for me this book is the best version of what it’s like to visit my office and see all the stuff on my desk,” he explained in an interview with Vogue.
The book will go on sale in September 2023. and also takes a behind-the-scenes look at works like “The Beguiled” (2017) starring Dunst, Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell, up to his latest film, “Priscilla”, scheduled to release in the fall will premiere in 2023.
