was born on May 6, 1950 in Kraków. His father was a trumpet player in a symphony orchestra and his mother was a soprano singer, so music was present in his life from an early age. He first played the violin, later he also started learning to play the trumpet. He graduated from music school with honors, and his mentor was Juliusz Weber. He made his stage debut as a 16-year-old in the big beat band Czarne Perły, and a year later he performed for the first time on the stage of the Piwnica pod Baranami cabaret. The year 1968 was a breakthrough. Then, together with the band Anawa, he performed during the 6th National Song Festival in Opole, making himself known to a wider audience. It was then that he began a fruitful collaboration with .

He revealed his vocal talent only in 1972. He sang in a duet with with Krystyna Prońko, Andrzej Rybiński and Zdzisława Sośnicka. On May 5, 2017, the artist underwent a bypass surgery. Although the procedure was serious, he felt well and did not complain of any ailments. When he suffered a massive stroke the next day, doctors were shocked. The best specialists fought for his life for over two weeks, but the changes turned out to be irreversible. Zbigniew Wodecki died on May 22, 2017 at the age of 67.
