Foo Fighters, more than a year after the death of Taylor Hawkins, announced who will appear in their ranks during the next concert tour. It fell on a well-known session drummer – Josh Freese. The upcoming performances will not be the first ones that will play with Dave Grohl’s team.

On March 25, 2022, the group’s fan world collapsed. Recognized in 2005 by the British magazine “Rhythm” as the best rock drummer in the world, Taylor Hawkins was found dead in a hotel room in Colombia. Later that same day, Foo Fighters planned to perform at the Picnic Stereo festival.

Initial toxicology tests revealed that Hawkins had 10 different psychoactive substances in his system. These included traces of THC, antidepressants, opioids and benzodiazepines. Hawkins’ bandmates said they were shocked and devastated by the situation, and for some time they did not inform the fans about the career of the band loved by millions.

Foo Fighters, despite the pain of the huge loss of a friend and a great musician, decided to continue their activities, which they announced to the fans five months ago. More than a year after Hawkins’ death, the musicians revealed who will sit behind the drums during their upcoming concerts. It fell on Josh Freese, an experienced drummer who had worked with many stars before. He played with A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, Sting and Guns N’ Roses.
