Corpse venom and embalming. What exactly is the whole process?
Preparation of the body of the deceased for burial by a specialist, i.e. the embalming process, reduces the risk of infection with corpse venom, as it mainly consists in disinfecting the entire body. – We stop the decomposition of the deceased person’s body and thus improve its appearance – admitted professional embalmer Szymon Sokołowski in an interview in “7 meters underground”.
The specialist revealed that the whole procedure consists mainly of replacing blood with fluids. Why? – The first aspect is the safety of people who will say goodbye to the deceased, due to the fact that thanks to this the body is disinfected and is safe for people who will be around this body. You can kiss, touch, and we will be sure that the deceased person will not pass on to us any disease or anything like that – he said. This means that touching or kissing a deceased person does not have to be dangerous. Nevertheless, the risk still exists, so the form of farewell should be decided by everyone according to their personal beliefs.
