Despite their huge popularity, Katarzyna and Cezary Żak are not fond of flashes. Instead of parading on red carpets, they prefer to fulfill themselves in front of cameras and theater boards. Few people realize how their relationship began.
They met in 1983. They got married two years later
Cezary Żak met Katarzyna at a riding camp in 1983. There was an instant spark between them, and two years later they were married. The young couple had no money for the wedding and reception. To save money for the ceremony, they went to France, where they worked physically. Katarzyna’s uncle was then the director of the center for the Polish community in Le Touqet on the English Channel. The couple spent a month removing plaster and renovating rooms and bathrooms. After finishing work, they visited Paris for 3 weeks. After returning to Poland, they did not have it easy. They could not afford an apartment, so for a while they lived in a guest room in the theater. – But it didn’t matter. We had each other and the desire to be together – she admitted.

Katarzyna and Cezary Żak played together in popular productions many times. They became famous for their roles in “Miodowe Laty” and “Rancz”. Katarzyna Żak was not always willing to play on one set with her husband. They usually hardly see each other during recordings. For 8 seasons of “Ranches” they saw each other for only three shooting days. After turning off the cameras or leaving the stage, they don’t “bring work home”. – We leave our profession behind the gate. We rarely talk about acting. The couple is raising two daughters together. Zuzanna (born 1990) and Aleksandra (born 1997). As they admit, the secret of their love is not big words or spontaneous confessions of feelings. “We’re just together and we’re fine. After so many years, we like to talk to each other and we are not bored – confessed the actor – My husband can delight me like no one else – answered Katarzyna – I think that love consists in constant admiration. And if you love, you have no problem with fidelity – she emphasized.
