The breakthrough in his career came when, in the late 1980s, he received an offer to create his own program. At that time, he made “Strawberry Studio”, which delighted young viewers for a decade, and the documentary series “To Your Way”, which lasted two years. He later appeared in numerous television productions, including in “For Good and for Bad”, “Szpilki na Giewont”, “Przyjaciółki” or the series “PitBull”. In 2006, he played the role of Kusy for the first time in , gaining the sympathy and recognition of the viewers. He appeared on the big screen many times, and the most popular titles in his filmography include “We Are All Christs”, “Wilkowyje Ranch” and “Pitbull. New Orders”. he also took part in numerous entertainment programs, i.e. “I love you, Poland!” or Polsat, where he was a juror for nearly 5 years.

In 2015, the actor underwent surgery to remove a brain aneurysm, after which he withdrew from public life for a while. He was placed on the operating table again in 2019, when during one of the examinations, doctors detected a brain tumor in him. Since then, his health has not improved. Paweł Królikowski died on February 27, 2020 in Warsaw, leaving behind a grieving wife, Małgorzata Ostrowska, and five children. He was 58 at the time of his death.

The last farewell took place on March 5, 2020. The actor was buried in the Avenue of the Meritorious at the Military Cemetery in Warsaw’s Powązki Cemetery. it is decorated with a large, white plate with the sign of the cross, on which there is a moving quote “The sun for me is your smile”.
