24-year-old Felix Clements applied to participate in the latest edition of Britain’s Got Talent. On a daily basis, he is a teacher at Woodcote Primary School and does not hide that he loves his job. At Sunday’s audition for the show, he took the stage with a big smile and assured jury members Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli: “Teaching kids is great. When I was a kid myself, I had no confidence, and now I love being able to show them that they can learn anything they want.”
“I have a talent”. The students surprised the teacher at the audition
Amanda Holden asked Feliks if his students knew he was running on Got Talent. Clements said no. That’s when the kids Felix works with jumped out of the supposedly empty rows by the stage and shouted “We know!”. The young teacher was clearly touched by this surprise. However, he mastered his emotions and began his performance. He applied for the program to present his dancing skills – and these, as it turned out, are really impressive.
When Felix finished his routine full of acrobatics and performed with admirable dexterity and lightness, everyone in the studio stood up to give him a standing ovation. So did the judges of the program.
– I think it was stunning. And you must be a very popular teacher,’ Simon Cowell was the first to speak, with an angelic smile on his lips throughout Felix’s performance. Successive jurors praised the dance, choreography, professional performance despite the exciting circumstances of the audition, high mobility of the performer and a wide range of movements, as well as the fact that his well-developed and physically demanding routine told a story at the same time. After the judges announced their verdict – Frlix moved on to the next stage by unanimous decision of all four – his students rushed onto the stage to hug him.
