During the Eurovision final there were numerous references to previous editions of the competition. In the so-called green room, i.e. a place where all the players wait for their turn or rest after the performance, a woman appeared in the audience, acting as a butter churner. This is a reference to the Polish song “My SÅ‚owianie”, which was performed nine years ago by Donatan and Cleo on stage in Copenhagen, representing our country.
This situation happened when one of the presenters, Hannah Waddingham, stopped by to talk to a representative of Armenia. It was behind her that a woman appeared who was churning butter in concentration. It turned out that it was BBC presenter Mel Giedroyc, who has Polish-Lithuanian roots.
Donatan “jurnie” defends his performance from years ago
Gazeta.pl’s text on this subject aroused great interest, also in social media. On the fanpage under the link to the article “Whipping butter again at Eurovision. They referred to Donatana and Cleo” there were over 250 comments, including two artists responsible for the famous song “My SÅ‚owianie”.
Cleo jokingly referred to her famous performance, writing: “Butter has become more expensive, now they are trying to figure out how to do it on their own?! However, our Slavs are the best!”. The comment apparently appealed to the readers, because the singer collected over 2,000 likes. reaction.
It turns out that Donatan also spoke in his typical crude and disrespectful style. He decided to respond to the comment of one of the users who expressed disapproval of their performance nine years ago. She wrote that she would not like Polish women to be associated with this – in her opinion – sexist performance. She also added that she thinks it’s very unleavened humor and she doesn’t want to identify with it, and so do many other people. Under her comment, she collected over 600 reactions, most of them mocking “ha ha”. Donatan himself decided to put a stick in the anthill, who turned to the woman with the words:
Don’t worry. You will not be associated with Slavic women – and German European women will be accepted as their own!

His arrogant and sleazy comment apparently appealed to Internet users, as it garnered a total of over five thousand reactions. This only proves the poor level of discussion culture in our society, which cannot accept that everyone has a different opinion, and brazen and vulgar comments from famous people arouse admiration rather than disgust and contempt. We wish Mr. Donat to bite his tongue more often, or actually his fingers, because it was with their help that he allowed himself to write these insulting words.
