The fans didn’t know what was going on. The band had a fight on stage and the concert was stopped

The sold-out concert of the Scottish band The View took an unexpected turn. The show was in full swing when at one point vocalist Kyle Falconer suddenly started punching and kicking bassist Kieran Webster – the spectators didn’t know what was going on and the musicians stormed off stage screaming at each other. The concert was eventually stopped and the group issued a statement. “We had a brotherly quarrel that went too far,” the musicians wrote.

A fight broke out between the singer and bassist of The View during a concert at The Deaf Institute in Manchester on Wednesday. To make matters worse, the attacked musician had just celebrated his birthday, and the hall was full of people – all tickets for the performance were sold out. Participants of the event were shocked by the whole event –

Band fan Saffie Yates has been waiting six years for the View concert. Speaking to the BBC, she confessed that at first she thought the fight was a strange part of the show: “It’s scary to see people you respect behave like this.” “The bass player usually plays a few songs, and it was also his birthday that day. He wanted to play the third number and then the vocalist moved on him. The band left the stage, and the audience stayed and waited to see what would happen next,” she explained. As it turned out, the rest of the concert was cancelled. The same happened with subsequent concerts.

The band’s manager released a statement regarding their next show, which was scheduled to take place on May 11 in London. “Unfortunately, we have to reschedule our London show and our promoter is working to resolve this. Please keep your tickets, we will be announcing what’s next soon. We are very, very sorry to all our fans,” he wrote.

On May 12, an apology from the musicians themselves appeared on the band’s profile:

We are very sorry to our fans who were at the concert in Manchester and to everyone else we upset. That evening we had a fraternal scuffle that went too far. We can’t wait to get back to touring in November and during the festival season.

They also added that the concert at the Oslo Hackney club was also cancelled, but the tickets will entitle you to the December concert in London. “It’s absolutely embarrassing and very sad for the fans”, “The amount of alcohol consumed that night could have been a problem. Take care and don’t disappoint the fans again”, “Maybe you will compete in MMA competition”, “I’m waiting for the concert in November, please don’t screw up also this”, “What an amateurishness” – the band’s fans commented on Twitter.

The band is scheduled to perform at the Neighborhood Weekender festival in Warrington at the end of May and at several summer music events. The View was formed in 2005 and is best known for the song “Same Jeans”, which in 2007 went to number three in the UK charts. The debut album “Hats Off to Buskers”, which was certified platinum, was also a great success.
