Konrad Skolarski, the son of Marek Skolarski, the author of Vox hits and the band’s manager, published an extensive entry in social media. In it, the indignant man described his opposition to the actions of Witold Paszt’s daughter, Natalia, who applied to the Patent Office to register the name of the band and the band’s graphic sign. Skolarski emphasized that her actions are absurd and that no heir to Vox members, and even living musicians, should not claim rights to the achievements of the formation.
Will the fight for Vox end sooner than it began? Pasht’s daughter appeals
Skolarski announced that he and Ryszard Rynkowski had already hired a lawyer and stressed that they would not leave this case. He also noted that he did not agree to the lies reproduced in the media, which present Witold Paszt as the leader and founder of Vox. The man points out that the deceased singer could actually be considered the leader of the group, but not in the line-up that, according to him, was the most successful.
. The daughter of the late vocalist Vox emphasized that she had absolutely no intention of belittling Marek Skolarski’s role in creating Vox at a certain stage of his activity. She also noted that she has great respect for him and does not want to take away his achievements from anyone. She adds, however, that the formation was founded on the basis of the Victoria Singers group, which was founded by her father, so it is not surprising that he is called the co-founder or leader of Vox and is most associated with the group (he worked in its composition continuously for 40 years).
Natalia Paszt: “We are driven by care for the memory of our fathers”
Natalia Paszt explained that she wanted all Vox songs, including those created by the Rynkowski-Skolarski duo, to resonate both in the hearts of Poles and live. She submitted the application to the Patent Office not to deprive anyone of rights to the band’s achievements, but to be able to continue “cultivating the memory of the band and her father”. Natalia Paszt plans to establish a foundation and start charity work, as well as “related to the organization of concerts and other events”. As the daughter of the late vocalist Vox declares, it is for this purpose that he must make legal regulations.
At the same time, Natalia Paszt appealed to Konrad Skolarski to join forces, take part in the planned initiatives and thus bury the hatchet. “I believe that we are driven by the same motives and we have a common goal, which is to tell about the phenomenon of the Vox group and its contribution to the history of Polish popular music, and to care for the memory of our late fathers,” writes Witold Paszta’s daughter, hoping to resolve the conflict.
