Last year’s Warsaw Night of Museums enjoyed record popularity. In total, as many as 230,000 participants took part in the events organized by all the facilities. Those responsible for the project anticipate that this year the number of visitors will be similar or even greater than last year. Therefore, it was also decided to expand the number of attractions. This year, you will be able to visit as many as 267 facilities, of which over 40 for the first time.
What attractions await us during the Night of Museums 2023 in Warsaw?
This year’s 19th edition of the Night of Museums in Warsaw will take place on Saturday, May 13. The program of events must start at noon at the earliest and end on the same day or in the morning of May 14. As in previous years, museums, cultural institutions, cinemas and memorial sites will be open, but also places that are usually inaccessible to visitors. Such places include a guided tour of the construction site of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, a visit to a fragment of century-old sewage systems hidden underground, a visit to the newly opened Embassy of Iceland in Poland, or the historic Żabiński Villa in the Warsaw Zoo.
One of the attractions that has been the most popular for years is the free entrance to the observation deck at the Palace of Culture and Science, from which you can admire the breathtaking panorama of the capital, and an interactive installation will take place under the building on Plac Defilad. A few stops further, because at Plac Bankowy you will be able to visit the office of the President of the Capital City of Warsaw. of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski.

Open-air events will also be organized, and special bus and tram lines will be waiting for crowds of visitors, on which you will be able to travel for free. However, some standard public transport lines will run during extended hours.
