Who won Eurovision 2023? For now, we have the first finalists

Eurovision 2023 takes place this year in Liverpool and on Tuesday evening the first semi-finalists presented themselves. Who won the semi-final, we theoretically do not know, because the 10 countries that qualified for Saturday’s final were given in random order. Which countries are these?

10 out of 15 representatives made it to the finals. Among them were the highest rated participants from Sweden and Finland – theoretically Loreeen and Kaarija have the best chance of winning on Saturday.

The first semi-final is over – who passed?

The list of countries that advanced after the first semi-final is as follows: Croatia, Switzerland, Moldova, Finland, Czech Republic, Israel, Portugal, Sweden, Serbia and Norway. On Thursday, May 11, you will be able to see more countries. Will compete for the final Blanca from Poland. Traditionally, the places in the finals are already guaranteed for the representatives of the so-called The Big Five, i.e. Germany, Spain, France, Italy and the United Kingdom, as well as the winner from the previous year. In this case, it’s Ukraine, which was unable to organize the event due to the war. For this reason, it was taken over by Great Britain, inviting on behalf of Ukraine and its own. The second semi-final will feature:

  10. Georgia – Iru “Echo”
  11. San Marino – Piqued Jacks “Like an Animal”
  12. Austria – Teya and Salena “Who the hell is Edgar?”
  13. Albania – Albina and Familja Kelmendi “Duje”
  14. Lithuania – Monika Linkyt? “stay”
  15. Australia – Voyager “Promise”

Eurovision 2023. We will find out who won on Saturday

In 2023, the event is held under the slogan “United by music”. The broadcast of the final is scheduled for Saturday, May 13, starting at 9 pm. It will be available on TVP1 and on the Eurovision channel on You Tube in the original language. As usual, the voting results will be announced by the hosts in English and French.

The hosts of this year’s event are actress Hannah Waddingham, known from the series “Ted Lasso” or “Game of Thrones”, Ukrainian singer Julia Sanina and singer Alexha Dixon. The latter talks to participants in the so-called green room. Polish commentators are Aleksander Sikora and Marek Sierocki. Their voices can be heard on TVP broadcast.
