Alessandra is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter who has Norwegian-Italian roots. Already before the first final, she was counted among the favorites of the competition and, as expected, she has already secured a place in the Eurovision final. She gained popularity thanks to the song “Queen of Kings”, which quickly began to be listened to around the world after her performance in the Norwegian final of the Melodi Grand Prix. The song is already a hit on TikTok, where thousands of users record videos using it.
Who is the representative of Norway – Alessandra?
Alessandra Mele knew she wanted to sing from the age of six when she won her first singing contest. Throughout her teenage years, she developed her vocal and songwriting skills, which led her to her second home, Norway, where her father comes from. The artist previously lived in Italy – her mother’s homeland, and was born in Pietra Ligure.
The song “Queen of Kings” is the responsibility of Alessandra herself, Norwegian composer Henning Olerud, world-traveling ghostwriter Linda Dale and writer-producer Stanley Fernandez, who has already released songs with the stars of Eurovision 2021, TIX and Flo Rida. According to Alessandra, her song carries a message of self-love. She wants to inspire “listeners of all ages” and “of all genders” to embody their inner queen of kings. On the occasion of the premiere of the song, she also revealed that she is bisexual.
The singer will also perform in Poland next year. Her concert at the Hydrozagadka club in Warsaw is scheduled for February 1, 2024, and the pre-sale of tickets for this event for Citi Handlowy clients will start on May 10 at 1:00 p.m. Ticketmaster pre-sales will start on May 11 at 1pm. Tickets will go on general sale on May 12 at 13:00.
For now, everyone interested in her achievements will be forced to admire Alessandra in front of TV screens. The artist will perform during the final of Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool, which will take place on Saturday, May 13 at 21:00. On Thursday, May 11, during the second semi-final of the competition, a representative of Poland, Blanka, will perform with the song “Solo”.
