Prince Harry’s autobiography brought him great , while further complicating his relationship with the royal family. A brutally honest book, in which the private memories and thoughts of the son of Charles III intertwine, caused an avalanche of controversy. Some time ago (not by chance, just a day after the coronation weekend) the co-author of the song – JR Moehringer – spoke about it. In “” he revealed how the cooperation with the prince, who hired him as a ghostwriter, looked like.
In daylight
It often happens that the identity of ghostwriters who write autobiographies of famous people remains a mystery. Initially, this was to be the case with Moehringer. However, even before the premiere of “Spare” (in Poland: “The Second”), it came to light who Prince Harry had hired as a co-author of the song. In the memories of the son of Charles III, there are many intimate details, for example, a passionate date with Meghan Markle or – according to “” – “fighting with a frostbitten penis during the wedding of Prince William or fight with brother during the brawl over Meghannot to mention the loss of virginity behind the pub.” However, it was not Prince Harry who described it in detail, but JR Moehringer, an American journalist who tells how their cooperation looked like.
The beginning of the conflict
According to Moehringer’s story, working with Prince Harry wasn’t easy – at least at first. There were times when a fugitive from the British royal family drove him crazy. “I was annoyed with Prince Harry. My head throbbed, I clenched my teeth and even raised my voice. And yet part of me was still able to change its point of view and think, “How strange. I’m screaming at Prince Harry,” writes JR Moehringer. The journalist described one of their more serious quarrels.
One night, the son of Charles III called a journalist to once again discuss a certain issue that was bothering him. It was about being in the army. Harry trained hard there and was subjected to numerous tests. One of them was to simulate the capture of a soldier by terrorists. – The “terrorists” reportedly threw Harry against the wall, choked him and hurled insults at him. The aristocrat was not broken, but when one of them referred to the death of Princess Diana – reports the portal “”. At that moment, everyone felt that the line had been crossed. Prince Harry was supposed to respond to this insult in an extremely sophisticated way, and he was very keen that an accurate description of the situation be included in his book. JR Moehringer, on the other hand, insisted on omitting this passage. Eventually an argument broke out between them.
Second night
Prince Harry insisted that a detailed description of his response to the “terrorist” taunt was included in the book. Finally, he couldn’t take it anymore and called the co-author of the autobiography. – He wasn’t begging anymore, he was insistingand it was two in the morning and I was starting to lose my temper. While this wasn’t the first time Harry and I had argued, it felt different; we seemed to be rushing towards some decisive rupture, writes Moehringer. Eventually, he convinced Prince Harry to his point, and further cooperation between them was fruitful. The men remained on friendly terms, perhaps because the journalist did not treat the prince reverently. It happened that he called him “dude”, which colloquially means “old man”.
