A New York grand jury on Thursday indicted the suspect arrested for stabbing the writer last week Salman Rushdie during an event, who from prison has confessed “Surprised” by the fact that the author of ‘Satanic Verses’ is still alive.
The Prosecutor’s Office and the defense attorney of the detainee, Hadhi Matar, have confirmed the imputation of this young man of 24 years. On Saturday, he pleaded not guilty to several charges, including assassination attemptand a preview is scheduled for this Friday, according to CNN.

He pleads not guilty
