She emphasizes that she will fulfill the role of a producer, and for financial reasons, she also plans to record dubbings. “At the moment, I can’t even imagine that I’m going to the set. It’s a progressive disease and I don’t know if it will get worse. But I can voice over, because I also have to support my family and stimulate my brain,” he says in an interview with Jessica Shaw.

The return of “The World According to Bundy” was announced in May 2022. Studio Sony Picture Television revealed that work on the animation is already at a fairly advanced stage. After that, the project was not mentioned much, but Applegate in a recent conversation with “” gave some details. Although this is scant information, it sounds quite promising:

I can’t say much, but all I know, all four of us from the original cast are involved with the project. We haven’t gotten any scripts yet, so we’re waiting.

So if no final decisions have been made at the studio, it means that viewers will once again hear Christina Applegate, Katey Sagal, Ed O’Neill and David Faustino as members of the Bundy family.

The character played by Applegate was a stereotypical, not very smart, but attractive blonde, and the role itself – although extremely high-profile – turned out to be an image trap for the actress. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she says she was offered thousands of different versions of the same character over the years: “There were tons of them. I never took any of the roles. everyone, but it’s Christina, so we can’t allow her name to be associated with this masterpiece. It’s happened more times than you can imagine.”

What roles did Applegate turn down because of this? As it turns out, she could play the lead role in Legally Blonde. However, she did not want to play Elle, because the offer came not long after she finished playing in “The World According to Bundy”. “On paper, these characters were too similar,” says the actress.
