The event will serve as a formal welcome to foreign royals who have come to London for the coronation at Westminster Abbey on Saturday May 6, Tatler said.

The young princesses are part of the guest list of King Carlos, which totals 2,200 attendees, in contrast to the 8,200 who attended the coronation of Isabella II in June 1953, 70 years ago.

This figure would mean that “only two invitations were sent to each foreign monarchy (although there may be some exceptions, for example, with the ancient Greek royal family),” notes Tatler.
