This week is the premiere of three hit universes. Not just Guardians of the Galaxy

May the 4th Be With You! May the Force be with you on May 4, Star Wars Day. And also for the next few days, when apart from new productions from the world of the Jedi knights, other novelties are also shown on small and large screens, such as farewell to the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Before we talk about Juliusz Machulski’s Kingsajza, which premiered in early May 1988, in the second segment of the new episode of “POPculture”, we will deal with cinema and series premieres. This time we chose four titles. Among them, there are as many as three from different universes. We start with the cinema, and then, of course, we will move on to the news of steaming platforms. We write more about these titles under the video.

Film and series premieres – Guardians of the Galaxy say goodbye…

After acquiring Knowhere from the Collector, the Guardians of the Galaxy work to repair the massive damage done by Thanos. In the film “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” the heroes are determined to make Knowhere a safe haven not only for themselves, but also for all the refugees displaced by the harsh universe. However, Rocket’s turbulent past stands in the way of their happy ending. The film, in which Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista definitely say goodbye to the Marvel universe, will not lack special effects and a soundtrack straight from the 80s of the last century.

“Silo” is the only novelty unrelated to any film-series universe, but let’s not prejudge the matter yet, because this production was based on a series of books, so anything can still happen. Whereas “Queen Charlotte: A Tale from the Bridgerton World” is a prequel to the series, which has already had two seasons on Netflix. In the six-episode miniseries we will see not only younger versions of some well-known characters, but also the actors playing them in “Bridgertons”, as the action takes place in two time spaces. One of the new people in the cast (and character) is known from “Game of Thrones” Michelle Fairley. In the HBO hit, Catelyn Stark played, now she played the role of an equally ambitious mother – not the Starks, but King George.

… and the new heroes of the Star Wars universe welcome you

“Star Wars: The Adventures of the Young Jedi” is the first animated series set in the Star Wars universe, which is aimed at the youngest children. Its action takes place in the times of the Great Republic, about 200 years before the Star Saga. The heroes of the fairy tale are young Jedi: Kai, Fox and Nubs, who learn to use the Force on the planet Tenoo under the supervision of Master Yoda himself. Many adventures await them as they travel across the galaxy aboard the Crimson Hawk under the command of pilot Nash.

On the occasion of Star Wars Day, Disney+ will also show the second season of the animated production
“Star Wars: Visions”. It is an anthology of nine short films from around the world made with the use of various animation techniques, and one of them was directed by a Polish artist, Magdalena OsiƄska. You can read more about this production here.
