May 4th is a special date for every Star Wars fan. The popular slogan “May the force be with you”, which accompanies the heroes throughout the saga, in English sounds very similar to the date of May. Hence the idea to establish the day after the Polish Constitution Day as the International Day. On this occasion, events dedicated to the cult series, fan rallies and movie marathons are held all over the world.

Disney+ has also prepared a gift for Star Wars Day. From May 4 on the platform you will be able to watch the second season of the animated production “Star Wars: Visions”, which is unique for several reasons. Although the series does not belong to the canon of the universe, it is a tribute to the series by the creators of Japanese animations. The first ever Star Wars anime series, it offers viewers a whole new perspective on the characters and events of a galaxy far, far away.

In the first season of production, famous actors such as Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Neil Patrick Harris and David Harbor appeared in the cast. In nine episodes, viewers could watch the story of a former Sith who fights a rebellious sect of his former kin, or Padawan Jay, who forms a rock band with a Hutt named Gee. The second season of animation also consists of nine episodes, each episode being created by creators from around the world to capture the most captivating styles of many cultures.
Polish accent in the series from the Star Wars universe
That is why there is also a Polish accent in the series. Among the creators of the second season of the series is a Polish woman, Magdalena OsiĆska, who directed the episode “I am your mother” produced on behalf of the British studio Aardman. The episode follows the story of a young pilot, Anni, who is ashamed of her overprotective mother. The girl faces the challenge of taking part in a crazy family race at the academy with her. The family will have to face the elements, their old ship, other contestants, but also with themselves.
Among those invited to the study project were: El Guiri from Spain, Cartoon Saloon from Ireland, Punkrobot from Chile, Aardman from Great Britain, Studio Mir from South Korea, Studio La Cachette from France, 88 Pictures from India, D’ART Shtajio from Japan and Triggerfish from South Africa.
