‘This isn’t a movement, it’s not a fad, it’s the life of a human being’: Karina continues to support her son Xander as a young transgender man and shares that he has already completed his gender transition

Karina, the Venezuelan singer who caused a stir with her music in the 80s, shared with her followers the great decision of one of her sons: to be a young transgender. And over the years, he continues to provide information about how his son Xander’s process went.

In 2016, the famous interpreter of “High Heel Shoes” surprised the whole world when she revealed that her daughter Hannah admitted to her that a man was trapped in a woman’s body, the Spanish magazine People recalled.

Giving her all her support, she was the artist’s main help to her son to complete the gender change process. After several years, Xander achieved his goal, and the singer announced that the changes were completely completed.

“That she is a productive person and that she is happy with him, which is the most important thing. Happiness is so hard to find for anyone,” she said, echoing her pride as the mother of a transgender boy who was simply unhappy with being her.

“We use ‘this is normal’ very lightly. This person is normal.’ Everyone defines normality as they want and as it suits them. There are many other things that we mistake for natural. God created it for me, he gave it to me like wine. And I have followed his path and will follow him until the end of my days. And every time he has an achievement, I take it as my own; I’m so happy to see him happy,” he explained with a big smile on his face.

From the beginning, Karina knew how to be Xander’s best guide, just like her father and sister, and defends her son’s decision at every opportunity.

For the Venezuelan singer, it is a celebration of a state that brings her peace and fills her with joy. Xander completed the gender reassignment process and explained that it shouldn’t be seen as a fad that someone wants to adopt.

“This is not a movement, it is not a fashion, it is the life of a being,” he assures that it is a serious matter that must be well documented,” he noted in defense of the process in which he helps people who are also going through the same path.

The prominent artist went further and pointed out that she had to provide information and educate about what her experience with a transgender child was like, explaining that many people and some media “rotted” this process, flooding it with ignorance and misinformation. (AND)
