Jon Benito and Aritz Gorrotxategi win the Spanish Critics Award
Euskaraz irakurri: Jon Benitok eta Aritz Gorrotxategik irabazi dute Kritikaren Espainiako saria
The Spanish Association of Literary Critics has announced the winners of this year’s awards, and, as far as production in Basque is concerned, the outstanding works have been the poetic collection of short stories by Jon Benito “Lagun miñak” (narrative) and the collection of poems “Uda vetea”, by Aritz Gorrotxategi.
In the other languages, the winners were the novel “De bestias y aves” by Pilar Adón and the collection of poems “Clamor in memory” by Dionisia García (Spanish), the novel “El dit de Déu” by Raquel Ricart and the collection of poems “El rastre nival” by Àngels Marzo (Catalan), and the novel “Ninguén queda” by Brais Lamela and the collection of poems “Materia” by Yolanda Castaño (Galician).
In a foreign language, the winning work was “The right wing”, by the Romanian Mircea Cartarescu.
