Meet Elkin Uribe, the Colombian artist returning to the vallenato scene with his latest release, ‘Inolvidable’

The name of each ube Vallato is not new to him. From a young age he made this genre his own when he joined the well-known group within this universe, children of vallenato. When he completed his cycle there, from the age of 16, Uribe continued to search for the glory of the accordion and the guacharaca as a soloist. This is how this 34-year-old artist delivers his most recent release, Unforgettable.

“Unforgettable is a love story, in which a couple develops their life and cOver time, the man neglects the woman and she decides to leave his side and be happy elsewhere.. He keeps asking her to come back because she has been unforgettable for him,” explains the Colombian musician.

The video of the theme, available on YouTube with more than 122,000 viewsis made by the hand of the Colombian producer Alberto Gonzalez, ‘Albertine’in Miamiwhere the singer currently resides for about two years.

“I came in the middle of the pandemic, it was a family decision and always with the desire to develop my project, from here project my talent to any part of the world. I have been gradually consolidating myself by showing this new musical single for several months now.”

The theme, which had the collaboration of the composer Wilfran Castillowith whom Uribe has collaborated for almost his entire musical career, marks a new phase for the vallenatero just since he settled in Miami.

“This is the fifth time I’ve recorded a song from him, I’ve had the chance to record him before. We have had a good relationship for about 20 years, a good friendship. Whenever I want to record something, I count on your support, with your support. He gave me this song that I developed with the production of Lucho Ortega, Latin Grammy Award winning music producer, as producer of Silvestre Dangond, Felipe Peláez, Peter Manjarrés… He is Colombian and we were able to achieve this good result that has generated the song Unforgettable”.
