Marcin Bosak is a 43-year-old actor who is known, among others, for from such productions as “In Darkness”, “Only Love Me”, “Pokot” or the series “M jak miłość”. On Friday, April 21, 2023, he faced an unpleasant situation, which he described in the recordings published on Instagram. In them, he says that he was attacked in Warsaw by a driver of one of the popular transport companies and his colleagues.
A well-known actor was beaten up by a trucking company driver
In the first video, he also showed the abrasions and bruises he suffered as a result of the beating. He also said he had been waiting for the police “for half an hour”. – Dear police, please help me in this situation, I am a citizen of this country – we hear on the recording. The violence he experienced from strangers was supposed to be caused by the actor’s reaction to what happened a moment earlier. The driver of the car almost hit Bosak’s son.
In the next recording, the actor said that he was at the district police station where he would testify. In the third video about the case, published on Saturday, Bosak said that he had given further testimony at the police station at ul. Opaczewska.
Marcin Bosak: It was just bandit behavior
He told about the details of the case in an interview with “”: – The event took place last Friday at approx. 17.30 on a small street in Old Ochota. I heard the roar of a vehicle moving much faster than the limit at that point. I jumped in front of the car, otherwise my son would have been run over. The driver immediately jumped aggressively out of the vehicle and started shouting at me in a foreign language – says Bosak.
He later added that suddenly, out of nowhere, several of the driver’s colleagues appeared and together they started towards him. – Of course, I tried to defend myself, but in such a bandit situation I had no chance – he emphasizes. The actor states that due to the stress, he does not remember all the details of the situation, but according to the witness of the event, there were several Bolt cars at the scene and those responsible for the attack got out of them.
I’m not afraid to say that it was just bandit behavior. As far as I know, I am definitely not the first victim of aggression by truck drivers. So I think it’s a deeper and very serious problem. – says Bosak unequivocally
The police arrested two people. Bolt makes a statement
Due to this situation, they asked Bolt for a statement on the matter. “We can read in it: The incident should not have taken place. However, we would like to point out that we cannot talk about Bolt’s driver or drivers in this situation, because until the perpetrators are identified, it cannot be determined that it was a person cooperating with our platform, or whether at the time of the incident, the driver was driving with our application.
On Monday, April 24, we also learned the official position of the police on this matter. Employees of the Warsaw Police Headquarters together with policemen of the Warsaw-Ochota District Police Headquarters accepted the notification and detained two people. All materials have already been handed over to the prosecutor’s office, which was confirmed by Ma³gorzata Wersocka, a member of the press team of the Warsaw Police Headquarters.
