Deputy Marshal Ma³gorzata Kidawa-Błońska submitted an interpellation regarding public funds transferred by the government and the Polish Radio. According to Wirtualne Media, the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg stated in response to the inquiry that she spent a large amount of money last year on advertising activities in the public media. The resort paid Polish Radio 100 thousand zlotys and Polish Television much more – PLN 824.6 thousand.
The government invests in the airtime of TVP and Polish Radio. They want to educate through “M jak miłość” and “Question for breakfast”
In the first statement regarding the cooperation between the ministry and the public media, Maląg did not provide specific spending campaigns, nor did it share any documentation and contracts. The politician only pointed out that the cooperation was “informative and educational” and the ministry’s goal was “to inform the public about important solutions within the government administration departments – work, social security and family”.
Translation was not enough for Kidawa-Błońska, who applied for specifics. Interpellations were also addressed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. It turned out that the ministry spent PLN 5.7 million on cooperation with broadcasters (PLN 3.9 million went to TVP). What was the money used for? From the report, we learn that this was the way to pay for, among other things, weaving threads about organic farming into the series “” and “Questions for Breakfast”.
The Ministry of Health also invested in the airtime of public media. Wirtualne Media informs that the ministry has concluded agreements with TVP and Polish Radio for the amount of over PLN 12 million, and the Ministry of Climate and Environment for PLN 6.75 million.
