Rafał “Pogo” Pogorzelski came from the Załęże district of Katowice, and apart from artistic and media activities, he was very involved in charity work. He helped, among others victims of domestic violence, children and animals. As music producer Lil Konon notes in his farewell entry, Pogorzelski only participated in several different actions in 2022, such as “Action LAJK”, “Toy for a kid”, “Blanket”. He also helped collect building materials for people from families experiencing domestic violence, and supported the collection of the most necessary products for local shelters for homeless animals.

Rafał Pogorzelski will undoubtedly be remembered by his relatives, friends and the local community as a person with a great heart. During his lifetime, he was elected the Personality of the Year by “Dziennik Zachodni” three times in the category of Social and Charity Activities. “Pogo” died prematurely on April 14 at the age of 37, and the sad news hit the media just before his funeral on Wednesday April 19. According to the service, the funeral mass took place at 8.45 in the Church of St. Joseph in Katowice-Załęże.
The artist orphaned a daughter and two sons. Local media report that at the end of March 2023 Pogorzelski was in a serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit of one of the hospitals in Katowice. Information about the cause of the rapper’s death has not been made public.
“He was a golden man, he helped many people and did a lot of good in his life. It is a great loss for the world, because there are very few people in this world with such a golden and good heart. Rest in peace Pogo” – says goodbye to the musician on Hetris Music P group, which recorded material with him for the album “Now”.
