Cabello and Mendes began dating in July 2019 and broke up in November 2021. They announced their breakup on Instagram in a statement they both posted to their Stories.

After their breakup, Cabello was linked to Austin Kevitch, the CEO of Lox Club. The paparazzi photographed them for the first time in June 2022, but the relationship broke up eight months later.
