Plant fertilizers are usually associated with expensive chemistry that affects the healthy development of flowers throughout their cultivation. Instead of branded products, however, you can use more natural and cheaper ways, including m. with potato starch.

The basis of care is to provide them with the necessary nutrients. These are primarily iron: zinc, potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen. Flowers “fed” with these micronutrients are much healthier, which in turn translates into a lush flowering period. How to fertilize them with potato starch? All you need to do is loosen the soil in the pot a bit, and then pull out about 1.5 cm of the substrate. Then add a tablespoon of starch. Mix the product with the soil, then cover it with fresh soil. This will avoid the risk of mold developing.

Usually you throw them away, this time grind them up and add them to the pot. The effect will surprise you

Another unusual product that is ideal for home fertilizer are egg shells. Leftovers, which we usually throw away immediately after breaking down, are an excellent source of calcium, another ingredient needed by plants. They will work especially well with those that prefer soil with an acidic or neutral pH.

Crush a few shells or grind them, then bury them under a thin layer of soil in a pot. Mix them thoroughly with the top layer of the substrate, so that the soil quickly transfers the nutrients contained in them to the plants.
