This was the fourth time that the cast of Les Luthiers said goodbye during their first night of presentation at the theater of the House of Ecuadorian Culture, in the center of Quito.

A show that brought laughter, applause and nostalgia from the audience because they knew it was the farewell of the humorous-musical ensemble from Argentina. On the night of Friday, April 14, the first of the two planned concerts as part of the tour called “Más Tropiezos de Mastropiero” took place.

The theater was almost full house. People came from different parts of Ecuador to see the presentation of the six Argentines who presented historical and new acts as part of the repertoire of the last tour.

Margarita Vega traveled from Cuenca with her husband especially for this concert. “I am very sorry to say goodbye, they are great, they entertained us and they also made us meditate because they always have a message,” said one of the attendees after the presentation.

The messages of nostalgia were replicated among the people who left the theater with the longing and mixed feelings of knowing that they were at the farewell party of a group that revolutionized comedy and scenic art through poetry, music and voicing skill of instruments. musicals.

Pablo Patiño said that the emotion caused by this concert brought him to tears, knowing that it was the farewell of the group. “It’s been so many years since my dad showed me a video of Les Luthiers until today that I can see live and direct, they’re not all of them, but they made us laugh until we couldn’t anymore,” he said .

“Más Tropiezos de Mastropiero” presented the artists of the 2019 cast. After 55 years of experience, they make their last presentations, including Ecuador.

The authors of the latter work are two of the group’s historical members, Carlos López Puccio and Jorge Maronna.

Together with them, the cast that will conclude the presentations of the acclaimed Argentine group consists of: Roberto Antier, Tomás Mayer-Wolf, Martín O’Connor and Horacio Tato Turano, and Santiago Otero Ramos and Pablo Rabinovich appear as alternates.
