The political skills of Pedro Sánchez are well known. But also the personal facet of a Prime Minister who he has never hidden his interests and hobbies; his passion for basketball, his culinary tastes and his fondness for music go practically hand in hand with his political trajectory. Precisely, this last pastime has generated a funny situation with one of the many groups that he enjoys today: Los Planetas.
The leader of the Executive recalled this Thursday the anniversary of an iconic album in the history of Spanish indie rock: ‘A week in the motor of a bus’, a work that has won great prizes for the band from Granada throughout its extensive musical trajectory. “Today marks the 25th anniversary of this work of art that marked an era. Many thanks to Los Planetas for accompanying me in so many moments throughout my life. Congratulations!”.
In this way, Sánchez expressed himself through Twitter, which generated numerous reactions in the form of support, congratulations and, as always, the occasional criticism that was not even in tune with the president’s message. But shortly after the surprise came from the hand of the group itselfwho did not hesitate to thank the socialist leader for this message of recognition, and took the opportunity to paraphrase one of his great themes.
“Thanks to you, Mr. Sánchez. With your permission and although I swore never again, I’m going to have a party for my birthday“says the message published by the group headed by Jota, Eric Jiménez and Banin, among others. A message that does not end there, as it seems to have a double intention with the farewell: “Health and Republic”. Will we see the president soon of the Government to attend some of the concerts that the band could celebrate in Spain in the coming weeks?
