The widow’s pension assumes that after the death of a husband or wife, he will be able to decide whether to receive:

Importantly, the widow’s pension is to be available to all persons entitled to receive the benefit. This means that it will be received not only by those insured in ZUS, but also in KRUS and uniformed pensioners. The maximum amount of the benefit is to be three times the average old-age pension, which is currently PLN 7,600.
