More about premieres? The Pope’s Exorcist and Dracula in cinemas
The Exorcist of the Pope is now in cinemas. The horror script was based on the real documents of Father Gabriele Amorth, who for years was the main exorcist of the Vatican. Amorth was born in 1925 and died on September 16, 2016. He has been the official exorcist of the Vatican and the Diocese of Rome since 1985, and five years later the International Association of Exorcists was founded on his initiative. Amorth was its president until his retirement in 2000. During his career, he was to perform 50,000 exorcisms. And because Russell Crowe, who plays him, speaks in “The Exorcist of the Pope” with an Italian accent, we decided to talk about not necessarily successful attempts to “speak in tongues” of various actresses and actors.
In Rainfeld, a modern tale of monsters and Dracula’s loyal servant, Nicholas Hoult stars as the tortured sidekick to history’s most narcissistic boss, Dracula. Renfield is forced to forage for his master’s food and obey all his orders, no matter how humiliated he is. But after centuries of captivity, he is ready to see if there is life beyond the shadow of the Prince of Darkness. If only he could figure out how to end codependency. The production combines – apparently quite successfully – elements of horror, fantasy and comedy.
Polish film comedy and series about influencers
